Adsorptive renewable cooling

In many emerging industrial platforms such as electric vehicles and data centers, nearly 30%~50% of electrical energy is used for providing climate control. Such large electrical consumptions reduce the driving mileage of electric vehicles and substantially increase carbon emissions. In particular, the rapid increase in the electric consumption of such industrial platforms and resulting new environmental regulations require eco-friendly renewable climate control methods. We investigate the adsorption-based climate control systems that can utilize stored thermal energy to provide no-electricity heat and cooling.
