Evaporation at nanopores
We can maximize the evaporation heat transfer by increasing the thin evaporative film area. Nanopore arrays have a strong potential to achieve extreme heat transfer coefficients and maximum heat flux. We investigate the evaporation at nanopores to reach the kinetic limit of evaporation and introduce ultra-high heat flux on-chip level semiconductor thermal management solution. We also study the mass transport of a tree to understand evaporation-based long-distance water transport mechanisms with suppressing cavitation.
