Off-grid hydrogen power module

To add flexibility to the energy grid systems and to provide electricity for military operations and  catastrophic events, off-grid power module has been gathering much interest. We aim to develop a zero-supply hydrogen-based power module by combining ambient water harvesting, electrolysis, hydrogen storage, and PEM fuel cells together. One of the most challenging components in such systems is realizing high-performance ambient water harvesting at a wide range of climate conditions. To address the challenge, we investigate an adsorptive water harvesting system that utilizes the changes in the water uptake potential according to the relative humidity change.
